Introduction

Databases allow you to find information on a particular topic. There are a variety of different databases which contain a variety of different formats, such as journal articles, streaming video, or book information on a particular topic. This is why looking at the description of a database can be useful. Below is a list of databases where you can search for journal articles, new writers, and authors. We also have databases that showcase our streaming media collections in the Videos tab.

ERIC (ProQuest)
The Educational Resource Information Center is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to education-related literature.
Education Index Retrospective: 1929-1983 (H.W. Wilson)
A bibliographic database of more than half a century of indexing from an international range of English-language periodicals.
Academic Search Complete
Designed for academic institutions, this database by Ebscohost provides complete coverage of multidisciplinary, full-text academic journals.

Women's Magazine Archive
An archive of leading women’s interest magazines, dating from the 19th century through to the 21st. Consumer magazines aimed at a female readership are recognized as critical primary sources through which to interpret multiple aspects of 19th and 20th-century history and culture.

A freely available visual history archive and educational resource for queer art and culture.
Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP)
Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP) first launched in November 2003 to establish a living history archive of past and present queer zines. This is a freely available searchable database with links to view/download electronic copies of zines. Browse, search, and visit the blog.
