Ask Us!

Evaluating Evidence

Prompt: Scholars may not necessarily use the phrases "self-advocacy" or "social justice" when writing about issues of gender and equality in the long eighteenth century.  Working in groups, discuss one of the following sources to determine whether it is related to female self-advocacy, and whether it might be a valid/authoritative resource that could be used for a student's poster presentation.

  • What evidence of self-advocacy do you find in the article?
