Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE)
This exchange went live on Dec. 19, 1990. It is governed by the China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC). At the end of 2010, SSE boasted 1,500 listed securities and 894 listed companies.
Shenzhen Stock Exchange
Established on 1st December, 1990, this is a self-regulated legal entity under the supervision of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). There is a total of 1980 listed securities, 1477 are made up of stocks.
Hong Kong Exchanges (HKEx)
"HKEx is the holding company of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited. It brings together the market organisations which have transformed Hong Kong's financial services industry from a domestically focused market to become a central market place in Asia attracting investment funds from all over the world."
