Dimmick graduated from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado in 1976 with a B.A. She received her master and doctorate in art history from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1982 and 1986 respectively. The collection includes biographical and bibliographic information on each artist and his or her works as well as notes, correspondence, theses, a dissertation, catalogs, copies of portions of published works, and photographs.
