Text is often translated into English from the original language, and content includes speeches, interviews, and verbatim excerpts. Keep in mind when searching that names may appear in various forms; for example, Saddam Hussein may also be found under Saddam Husayn.

Provides access to full text translations of newspaper articles from around the world. The information is obtained from full text and summaries of newspaper articles, conference proceedings, television and radio broadcasts, periodicals, and non-classified technical reports. New information is entered into WNC every government business day. Generally, this information is available within 24-72 hours from the time of original publication or broadcast.

The Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Electronic Index is an index to the Daily Reports issued by the U.S. Government. The Daily Reports include translated broadcasts, news agency transmissions, newspapers, periodicals, and government statements from nations around the world. They focus on political, economic, scientific, and cultural issues and events throughout the world.

University Libraries owns most of the reports indexed in this resource. They are in microfiche format in the lower level fiche cabinets. They are arranged by series, then by date, in the PREX 7.10: Superintendent of Documents (SuDocs) call number system.
