ENGR 1611 -- Intro to Mechanical Systems: Home

Welcome to the research guide for your Introduction to Mechanical Systems class -- each tab is designed to provide info you need to succeed in your design project for this course, and/or your engineering classes in general.

Information sources in engineering

Engineers communicate their research findings through a variety of sources: journal articles; conference papers; technical reports; patents; dissertations & theses; and data & statistics. Over time, information from these sources gets collected and synthesized into additional types of sources: handbooks & manuals; trade journals & magazine; standards; review articles; and books & textbooks.
