Disability Services

The Disability Services Program will help facilitate any captioning needs related to providing accommodations to students required by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Considerations around video accessibility and accommodations relate primarily to ensuring that any viewer has access to equivalent experiences. For example, captions provide an equivalent experience of the audio information using text for those who are deaf or hard of hearing (in addition to being a Universal Design practice). Audio description provides viewers with visual impairments equivalent access to action or behavior in the video.

Please visit the Disability Services Program website for more information on providing video accessibility as an accommodation.
