DU students, faculty, staff, and alumni may request physical library items (books, scores, and recordings) from the Music Library for curbside pick up.
DU students, faculty, and staff (not alumni) may request items from Anderson Academic Commons or the Hampden Center.
To request materials from the Music Library, the AAC, or the Hampden Center, use the Request button in our Catalog. (Alumni please email MusicLibrary@du.edu to make a request for curbside pickup.)
**As of 9/4/20, the request button is now live in our Catalog and you do not need to submit items via the old request form. If you previously submitted items via the form, your requests will still be processed. If you have questions, please contact MusicLibrary@du.edu.**
Finding and Requesting Items
Search for your physical library item using the Compass search bar (click here), and click to open the record.
If not already signed in, use your DU ID and password to log into your library account.
The status of the item will appear on the right hand side.
To request the item, click on the Request link above the item information. Note where the item can be picked up once available. Hampden Center materials will be delivered to the Anderson Academic Commons. All other materials must be picked up from the lending library (i.e. Music materials should be picked up at Music and AAC materials picked up at the AAC ). We apologize that we are not able to deliver materials between libraries at this time.
Picking Up Your Requested Items
When your items are ready for pick-up, you will be informed via your DU email and will then be able to make an appointment to pick-up your materials curbside at the Music Library for music items, and curbside at the AAC for AAC and Hampden items. Requests will generally be available for pick-up within 5-7 business days.
If you have problems requesting a Music Library item, please contact MusicLibrary@du.edu.
If you have problems requesting an AAC or Hampden item, please contact LibraryNotices@du.edu.
Contact MusicLibrary@du.edu if you have any questions about this process!
