Mobile App

To use the Rosetta Stone app on a mobile device:

  1. If you have previously downloaded the app, delete and reinstall it. You can find the Rosetta Stone app in your app store.
  2. Do not try to login in the app. Instead, open your mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and log in to Rosetta Stone from the library website or from this research guide. Sign in with your DU ID and passcode, and bookmark the link for easiest repeat access.
  3. Once you are redirected to the Rosetta Stone site and you tap on the "Launch...." link, the app should automatically start and sign you in (please note that this can take 1 minute or more). Do not interrupt this process!!!
  4. A prompt for Learning Focus will appear with a list of Levels and course settings. Put a check on Standard (recommended) or your preferred Learning Focus. Do this on ALL LEVELS then tap on Close. (The Close link won't be live until you select your learning focus on all levels.)
  5. After a successful sign in, it is very important that you always "sign out" with the option offered in the app. You can find the "sign out" option in settings ("cogwheel"-icon) on the home screen of the app in the lower right corner. If you don't sign out, you will have problems logging in next time.

Please note: After a period of a few hours, the app may require you to authenticate your access again in order to continue using the software. You can accomplish this by again logging in to the resource using your device's web browser. These steps must be followed each time you go to use the Rosetta Stone app on your tablet or mobile device.
