Database Resources

Databases allow you to find newspaper, magazine, journal articles, and primary source materials on a particular topic.  Below are some databases that are particularly helpful for researching women in the West.

Finding the Full Text

Article Linker performs several functions:

  • It locates full text of articles from within databases
  • It enables interlibrary loan from within databases
  • It enables individual export of records to RefWorks bibliographic management software from within databases
Linking to Full Text

When you are searching a database and encounter the Article Linker icon , click on it!

Clicking on the Article Linker icon brings up the Article Linker page:

If full text is available from any of our providers, you will see a link to download the article. If a direct link to the article is not possible, you can usually get to the article by clicking the journal link and navigating down to the desired volume, issue, and article level.
