Finding Music Periodical titles in PEAK

Before you rush to find any of these journals listed in the box to the right, go to the library catalog, PEAK, Advanced Keyword Search first.

Then, use the pull down menu on the left (the one that has the word "keyword" in it) and choose: Periodical Title. Then you may enter the titles of the journal, periodical or magazine.

Music Index
Music Index is a principal on-line guide to music periodical literature, including review literature. The print version covering 1949-2006 is located in the Music Library Reference Stacks. The on-line version goes back to about 1968, so the print version is very valuable (and not hard to use, either). Some FULL TEXT is available by clicking on Article Linker in your search results.
Music Periodicals Database (IIMP)
A music journal resource with more than half a million indexed articles covering the scholarly to the popular. A number of article citations include detailed ABSTRACTS. The title is somewhat misleading; there is SELECTED FULL TEXT from 1874 to current. WARNING: there are very few periodicals here that actually have coverage back to 1874. As good as this database is, not everything is available all in Full Text. If you do not find a citation to an article, try Music Index Online.
